Fatigue is considered one of the most common and most disabling symptoms for persons with MS and often limits their ability to perform their work, participate in recreation, and complete self-care activities. Over time, the decreased level of activity results in deconditioning, which also exacerbates fatigue. The specific aim of this pilot study was to determine the efficacy of a home-based aerobic exercise program to remediate deconditioning of persons with MS. It was hypothesized that the aerobic exercise program would improve cardiovascular fitness, improve functional activity levels, and decrease fatigue impact.
