Investigating Small-Scale Flaring: NuSTAR Analysis & Hard X-Ray Detector Development

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

SOLAR FLARES ARE IMPULSIVE RELEASES OF MAGNETIC ENERGY. THE STUDY OF PARTICLES ACCELERATED IN FLARING EVENTS IS THEREFORE RELEVANT BOTH TO FLARE EVOLUTION AND TO THE UNDERLYING DYNAMICS OF SOLAR MAGNETIC FIELDS.
