Abstract

Salts of (2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)cyclopentadienyl (Cp ^N) group VI metal carbonyl anions ([M(CO) ₃-(η ⁵-Cp ^N)] ^- (M = Cr, Mo, W)), important reagents for studies involving Cp ^N, have been characterized by X-ray crystallography. These onions (M' = Mo, W) react with R ₃SnCl (R = Ph, cyclohexyl) to provide structurally characterized tin(IV) derivatives.
