Abstract

This paper considers the problem of finding a distributed H2 suboptimal controller of a networked system in a distributed fashion, where both the plant and the controller units are interconnected systems interacting over a bidirectional causal network. A distributed design of H2 suboptimal distributed control problem is provided using distributed linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). H2 suboptimal distributed controllers can be found if there exists a feasible solution to these LMIs. These distributed LMIs consist of local and shared variables, and these shared variables are common only with their neighbors. The main contribution of this paper is that while the provided H2 suboptimal control problem can be solved in a distributed way using distributed LMIs, after solving these LMIs, each node can construct its own full-order sub-controller unit, which is implementable over the given network.
