Abstract
Space-vector pulse width modulation (SV-PWM) algorithm for electric drives was discussed. The method was applied by using the classical carrier-based approach. The SV-PWM strategy was implemented and tested in a complete field oriented control of a phase induction motor to achieve a higher ac line voltage from the same dc link voltage. Results showed that this method can be applied both to electric drives and switch-mode power converters thus making its derivation straightforward.
