Abstract
An overview of the chemically modified vegetable oils to be used as biolubricants is presented. The accidental losses during the use of petroleum based lubricants can spell ecological disaster, therefore the need of environmental friendly lubricating fluids produced from agricultural feedstocks was desired. The process involved in the production of vegetable oil based lubricants is also discussed.
