Abstract

The two effects of block copolymers are analyzed by separately measuring the effect of block copolymer on suppression of coalescence and the reduction of particle size by decreasing interfacial tension. The suppression of coalescence is carried out by using a shear are reduction method while the measurement of particle reduction due to breakup process is carried out by shearing dilute blends where coalescence is expected to be negligible.
