Abstract

The problem of determining the most appropriate type of traffic control at one-lane two-way construction sites (i. e. , on two-lane two-way roadways where one lane is temporarily closed for repairs and the other must be shared by both directions of traffic) is addressed. Capacity and performance tables and figures are presented for stop-sign, signal, or flagger control.
