Abstract

The magnetic behaviour of exchange-biased Co/CoO polycrystalline thin films was investigated. The sample was found to have a weak growth-induced uniaxial anisotropy as evidenced by the room-temperature magnetization curves. The magneto-optical images showed that during the initial magnetization reversal the remagnetization front moved from the edge of the sample into the homogenously magnetized film.
