Abstract
Three industries primarily drive Northwestern Minnesota’s economy -- agriculture, manufacturing, and
wholesale trade. These three industries account for 65 percent of total output in the region and 56 percent
of all employment. A more in-depth analysis reveals regional strengths and concerns.
