Abstract

Economic evaluations of six forest practices designed to enhance water quality from 18 timber harvesting operations in the midwest were carried out. Net revenue reductions ranged from 1.2% with redesign of landing and skid trail locations to 26.4% with buffer strip requirements. Nine operations were profitable with application of all six practices.-from Authors
