Abstract

The authors have found a minor error in the analysis code discussed under the subhead Neurophysiological Data Sets. Reanalyzing these data, they have found that the code used to categorize striatal cells had not been updated to match other changes in the code set used to load cell information. This led to a timing error in the autocorrelograms used to identify cell types. The correct proportions are 85.1% phasic-firing neurons (PFNs), 14.9% high-firing neurons (HFNs), no tonic-firing neurons (TFNs) in dorsolateral striatum and 70.1% PFNs, 29.6% HFNs, and 0.3% TFNs in dorsomedial striatum. This error only affected the cell categorization. It did not affect any of the other analyses in this paper, none of which took cell classification into account, and thus all of which remain valid.
