Abstract

After publication of our original paper, a number of mistakes in our depictions of chemical structures in schematic figures came to light. In our original paper, we have depicted the chemical structures incorrectly in four schematic figures. 1. The structure of poly[(p-xylylene-4-methyl-2-bromoisobutyrate)-co-(p-xylylene)] (PPX-EB) has been drawn incorrectly in the TOC graphic and Scheme 1. Specifically, we neglected to draw a CH2 between the aromatic ring and the ester. This same error also crept into Figure 6A in the structure of the copolymer, poly[(p-xylylene-4-methyl-2-bromoisobutyrate)-co-(p-xylylene-4-aminomethyl)-co-(p-xylylene)] (PPX-AM/EB). All structures have been subsequently rectified. 2. The structure of propargyl methacrylate (PMA) had been drawn incorrectly in Figure 4A and Figure 6A. The presence of a CH2 between the ester group and the alkyne had been mistakenly omitted. This has been corrected. 3. The structure of the triazole ring in Figure 4A was also incorrect. This has been redrawn now. 4. The structure of PEGMA in Figure 6A has been corrected as the product we used (Sigma-Aldrich catalog #447943) is methoxy-terminated and not hydroxy-terminated. The data and conclusions of our original article have not been affected by these errors in the schematic diagrams. We express regret and apologize for the possible confusion caused by the incorrect depiction of chemical structures. The corrected figures are furnished within. (Figure Presented).
