Abstract
A 16-channel transmit array intended for interchangeable use with up to 128 receiver arrays is being developed for 10.5T/ 447MHz head imaging. In initial work, presented here we evaluated a 16-channel dual row loop array design and compare predicted and achievable performance of this transmitter with and without a 32 channel receive only array insert. Both excellent intra element transmit array element decoupling and high isolation between the transmitter and the receiver array insert was achieved.
