Abstract
This chapter first makes two arguments: that emotions are social constructs; and that emotions are necessary to moral judgments. With these in mind, consider that an "objective" judgment is one that remains stable across a wide variety of perspectives and can shift intelligibly when needed. These provide an intelligible "spiral" of emotionally informed moral judgments that can be taken seriously by themselves as well as by the relatively privileged, which will allow for transformative critique that can enhance future emotional responses, thereby creating the possibility of moral objectivity.
