Abstract

Electrochemistry of (p‐CH3PhNC)6Cr+3 and optical spectroscopy of [1,2‐(9‐fluorenyl)2C2H4]ZrMe+ have been used to craft scales of coordinating ability of various anions. Coordinating ability also influences the barriers to intramolecular rearrangement in (RCp)2ZrMe+ as well as activity of zirconocenium ions as polymerization catalysts.
