Abstract
Disorders of the nerve and muscle present with characteristic clinical features that readily distinguish them, in most cases, from other neurological disorders. More so than in other neurological subspecialties, attention to detail in the neurological examination is essential in neuromuscular disease. This chapter outlines strategies in the approach to the evaluation of the patient with neuromuscular disease that are essential to accurate diagnosis.
