Abstract
This paper introduces computer aided techniques to synthesize four bar mechanisms for three prescribed positions. An interactive program allows the user to be involved in the design process. Examples of motion, function, and path generation with prescribed timing illustrate the usefulness of these computer aided techniques. The computer software has been written for a Tektronix 4010/4014 graphics terminal and is driven by a VAX 11/780 computer. These options will be added to the LINCAGES program.
