Abstract

At our center, candidates for kidney transplantation are usually encouraged to undergo living donor transplantation. The evaluation of both prospective donors and recipients has been standardized. Yet, even after full medical evaluation, the decision to proceed with living donation is often difficult. We herein discuss some of these difficult decisions and our approach to them.
