Abstract
Films of the compound (Formula presented)(Formula presented)(Formula presented) have been prepared using molecular beam epitaxy. (Formula presented)(Formula presented)(Formula presented) has been found to be an insulator with an energy gap of 140 meV. It exhibits an apparent diamagnetic response at low temperature when cooled in a magnetic field, but is actually a ferrimagnet. The apparent diamagnetism is a consequence of the more rapid growth with decreasing temperature of the magnetization of the sublattice antialigned with the field relative to that aligned with the field. At low temperatures there is a modest magnetoresistance.
