SEM evaluation of normal, hypermineralized, and demineralized human dentin and its interaction with dentin bonding systems

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

In the study, the morphology of three different dentin substrates and their interaction with four different dentin bonding systems (DBS) are evaluated. Results suggest that hypermineralized substrates occur with sclerotic dentin and under carious lesions. In which case, the use of adhesive systems without mechanical retention maybe contraindicated.
