Abstract
Stochastic processes are capable of producing an inflationary epoch using potentials which typically do not inflate (e.g., potentials with large positive-mass terms). We consider a simple model which in the context of no-scale supergravity inflates but in the context of superstring theory does not. Stochastic processes again allow for the possibility of inflation provided initial scalar-field fluctuations are large enough.
