Abstract

Hydride/chloride redistribution reactions provided high yields of GaCl₂H(quin) I, GaCl₂H(quin)₂ II, GaClH₂(quin) III and GaClH₂(quin)₂ IV (quin = quinuclidine) and structural characterization of compounds II and IV authenticate the unusual five-coordinate geometry for gallium hydride complexes.
