Abstract
Aortography and renal arteriography represent the single most valuable procedure for the anatomic demonstration or exclusion of lesions causing curable renovascular hypertension. However, information gained from this modality must be correlated with the patient's history and clinical findings in the determination of curability. The most common causes of obstructive disease in the renal vascular tree are atherosclerotic plaques and fibrous stenoses, both of which present characteristic findings on angiography.
